Carol Cheng, the founder of Hong Consulting Limited, is an experienced business advisor and China consultant. She is a Chartered Accountant (CA) who has more than 20 years of accounting, auditing and advisory experience in New Zealand, Hong Kong, and China.

 

 

Prior to founding Hong Consulting, Carol held leadership roles in China and New Zealand including Executive Director of PwC New Zealand and Partner at Grant Thornton in China.

 

 

Carol has worked with hundreds of clients in New Zealand, Hong Kong and China. She led teams to complete many audits, outsourced accounting and tax compliance, financial due diligence and advisory projects in China, Hong Kong and New Zealand. One of her large cross-border transactions included winning the due diligence and financial advisor role to advise a Chinese buyer for a US deal valued at USD1.8 billion. She is also keen to assist SMEs to simplify the accounting and tax compliance work.  

 

 

Carol has professional experience in a wide range of industries such as retailing, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, trading and services, real estate, freight forwarding and technology etc. She is passionate about sharing her professional experience to help businesses grow. 

 

 

Carol speaks fluent English and Mandarin. She has been a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand since 2001 and holds a Certificate of Public Practice. She is also a Chartered Member of The Institute of Directors in New Zealand ("IoD"). Carol is an independent director of the Auckland Unlimited Ltd. She was an Executive Board Member and Treasurer of the New Zealand China Trade Association. Carol was the winner of 2017 Emerging Director Award of IoD, Auckland Branch and the 1st Future Director of Financial Markets Authority New Zealand (FMA).

成女士中英文流利。她能充分理解并诠释中西商业文化差异，在跨境并购交易过程中充分起到沟通桥梁的作用。她乐于分享其丰富的财务管理，公司治理和跨境并购经验。她具备优秀的表达沟通能力和商业敏锐度。成女士积累了丰富的各行各业行业经验，涉及零售业，制造业，航空，医药业，贸易和服务，农业，房地产，餐饮业，物流，工程和科技等行业。

 

成女士持有澳新注册会计师执业证书，她还是新西兰董事协会注册董事会员。她是Auckland Unlimited公司独立董事，她曾担任新西兰新中贸易协会的董事兼司库。她曾荣幸获得新西兰董事协会奥克兰分会颁发的2017年度新兴董事奖, 她也曾是新西兰金融市场监管局的第一位未来董事。
