What is a Virtual CFO (VCFO)?
A Virtual CFO is an experienced finance executive who works with your business part-time and remotely, rather than as a full-time employee. You get the strategic financial leadership of a CFO — forecasting, budgeting, board reporting, funding strategy — for a monthly fee, typically at 15 to 25 percent of the cost of a permanent hire.
Virtual CFO, fractional CFO, part-time CFO and outsourced CFO all describe broadly the same arrangement. The differences are in how much time you buy and how the relationship is structured, not in what the role does.
